Fashion Designs

I first started designing womenswear when I was 13 years old, but had drawn for many years previous to that. Over the years I have developed my drawing/sketching skills and my love for design, branching out into accessories, costume and set design which I find equally exciting and interesting. But usually my collections are inspired by historical influences from all around the world and current affairs.

I have created collections based on:
  • The French Revolution
  • Costumes of the Middle East
  • Neo Classical style
  • Italian menswear
  • Ancient Egypt
  • Gustav Klimt
  • 19th century Spain
  • The Tudors
Designing womenswear allows me to go as crazy and creative as I want, as there are no boundaries or rules in fashion. When I was 16, I attended a Fashion Design course at the world famous Central Saint Martins, which allowed me to work closely with professionals in the industry and other budding designers like myself. Looking at shape, form, texture and size while creating mood boards for our initial collections opened my eyes wider into what it takes to become a womenswear designer.

Even though I no longer draw as much as I would like to, it still a deep passion of mine and something which I find great enjoyment in.
