Beware - You are being judged!

Writing my dissertation at the moment, it's so interesting to explore the way in which clothes shape you as a person. You may not think it, but what you decide to wear today - say a black polo neck, navy jeans and a pair of Stan Smiths, reflects the persona or image you're trying to convey ie. you're a relaxed, too cool for school kid who prefers to opt for comfort rather than glamour when it comes to fashion. What you wear is judged by society the moment you step out that door. You are at once cast into a group - punk, sporty, pretty, chic, chav... the list goes on, as well as whether you're rich or poor (vitally important in society). All of this just by getting dressed in the morning.

Now, those of us who deny we take time to think about what we're going to throw onto our backs in the morning are lying. We all make a conscientious decision every morning to wear particular pieces, depending on our moods, the outside temperature and perhaps our day jobs or tasks required of us that day. Yet, we have a signature style which we want to communicate to the outside world. A great example is when someone like me, who can't afford to shop in luxury boutiques, decides to turn up at the Louis Vuitton store on Old Bond Street in a pair of old converses, skinny ripped jeans, a parka from Bershka and a handbag from H&M. Before I have even stepped through the store entrance I am being judged. The security guard looks me up and down, no doubt thinking 'keep an eye on this one.' The snooty sales assistants who greet me inside the store, slyly smile at one another thinking 'what is someone like her doing in our store?' And then the store manager looks over, agreeing that I don't even deserve the time for sales assistant to talk to me as I obviously can't afford anything inside the store and will be out within the next minute. Harsh but true.

The stereotypical chav vs Kate Middleton
Now, same situation, different clothes. I turn up to Louis Vuitton on Old Bond Street wearing a tailored black coat, black leather heeled boots and my Nan's old fox fur stole draped around my neck. I also have my baby blue Zara purse tucked under my arm and a large pair of sunglasses perched on my nose. The security guard at the door smiles at me and nods in approval. The sales assistants rush over to greet me and ask if I'm looking for anything in particular today, while the store manager smiles to himself at the prospect of a big sale to boost the days target. A completely different experience just by the clothes I'm wearing. It truly is terrible that we judge, and I'm not saying that all wealthy people walk around with their fur coats, Hermes bags and huge heels all day - well the new money folk tend to. But, if you look the part, you are treated better.

We are all guilty. I have worked in a number of luxury fashion stores, and I like to think I can tell if someone is a potential customer or not, just by what they're wearing. It is the way I, and you too, have been conditioned since birth. Judging someone is second nature. Recently in America, putting fashion aside, black men have been constantly judged, targeted and killed by the police just by the colour of their skin. Because of course, according to the police,  if you're black you are dangerous, which is absolutely ridiculous. Here in London, when I get on the tube followed by a guy wearing a hoodie, at once other passengers look at him wearily and clutch their bags a little tighter. Chances are this man who decided to wear a hoodie that day, is among the least dangerous people on the train.
The evolution of Mrs Beckham...

Fashion is constantly judging. Kim Kardashian steps out wearing a see through black dress and Yeezy boots - Mail Online goes into melt down with the amount of negative comments. "She's nothing more than a cheap slut," "What an awful mother," "She looks like a hooker," "Her bum is so fake"... Judging all the time. Yes, Mrs Kardashian West wanted attention, why else would she decide to step out in something as revealing as that? But it's incredible that we at once put her in the category of reality TV star slut. We do the same with numerous celebrities, from Miley Cyrus, Angelina Jolie and Nicki Minaj to the Duchess of Cambridge, Rihanna and Victoria Beckham. Victoria Beckham is one of the best examples out there. She went from tasteless, cheap footballers wife to respected fashion designer with a slot at NYFW, through a major shift in her personal image. Who doesn't love looking through those before and after photos?

So, if anything I'm simply trying to say don't judge a book by its cover. We have done it for centuries, and no doubt we will do for centuries more, but if we can help it, we should stop! We all love to bitch (trust me, that's one of my favourite pastimes) but it's unnecessary, mean and very wrong to do when we don't know that person at all. Next time you step outside your door, think about what image you're trying to portray to the rest of society. Because believe me, even the post man will be judging.

Angelina Jolie, Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian all have very different public images.

Trick or Treat? Celebrities do Halloween in Style

The best of 2016 Halloween costumes; Alessandra Ambrosio, Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry
Happy Halloween! Yes folks, it's that time of year again, when the hideously fantastic outfits come out and the make up is slapped on for full effect. Halloween is for most of us, just a great opportunity to dress up and get very drunk at a scary party somewhere. However, celebrities take these spooky proceedings very seriously. I'm talking major costumes, massive parties, professional make up and even in the case of Katy Perry and Heidi Klum, heavy prosthetics. From Miley Cyrus' copycat Lil Kim costume which received a big backlash on social media, to Kim Kardashian's sexy Halloween costumes that never fail to disappoint, I've put together a selection of some of the most memorable costumes over the years.

I have to say this year was pretty epic. I loved Kylie Jenner's homage to Christina Aguilera's iconic 'dirrty' video, which was so good Xtina herself commented on Twitter, applauding Kylie's efforts. Leonardo DiCaprio rocked up in a werewolf mask for Kate Hudson's Halloween party, while Orlando bloom donned a Donald trump costume and Katy Perry pulled off a very believable Hilary Clinton. Kourtney Kardashian stepped out as a bloodied bride, Alessandra Ambrosio went for Jessica Rabbit at Cindy Crawford's party and Nicole Sherzinger went hell for leather on the X Factor.

See all the best Halloween costumes below, and if you are out trick or treating tonight, have an amazing time!
Heidi Klum unrecognisable as Jessica Rabbit, Fergie and Gigi Hadid as Sandy from Grease
Lil Kim vs Miley Cyrus
Kate Upton vs Iggy Azelea who looks amazing as Cruella DeVille, dalmation included.
Kim Kardashian's Halloween costumes over the years - from Princess Jasmine to a little mermaid.
More Kim K looks, including a sexy cat woman and superhero outfit.
Beyonce and a little disgruntled Blue Ivy as Michelle Jackson
Queen Bey slays as Frida Kahlo, with Jay Z and Blue Ivy in tow.

Kanye West - Cool or Catastrophic?

Kanye West is a bit like marmite really. You either love him or hate him. I have always been a fan of Kanye's music, and do generally find his Twitter outbursts quite amusing, but I can easily understand how he can rub people up the wrong way. He is a man who can't help but make headline news wherever he goes, and along with his wife Kim, is arguably one of the most influential people in the world - well, he would think so anyway. If you measured Kanye West's ego, it would be the size of the stratosphere, or perhaps even bigger.

There must have been a time when Kanye was a humble young man. Well, not really! In an interview with the New York Times, he had this to say about his pre-fame days. "I knew when I wrote the line 'light-skinned friend look like Michael Jackson' I was going to be a big star. At the time, they used to have the Virgin music [stores], and I would go there and just go up the escalator and say to myself, 'I'm soaking in these last moments of anonymity." Okay Kanye. This is the man who now feels he is better than Picasso, Escobar and on par with Steve Jobs.

So let's take it back to the beginning. Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta on June 8th 1977, raised in Chicago and began writing poetry at the age of 5 years old. He would go on to win a scholarship at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, but soon dropped out to focus on his music career as a producer ('The College Dropout' was the name of Kanye's first album in 2004.) And that's where Kanye's story begins really, producing songs for the likes of Alicia Keys and Jay-Z before making music himself. Since then, Mr West has won a whopping 21 Grammys, had 5 no 1 albums and sold over $30 million digital singles in American alone. That gives him some bragging rights, I guess.

What gets me about Kanye is that he has an opinion on everything. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, if anything its good to be outspoken and voice your opinions, but when Kanye West does this it becomes a bit annoying. Take his lengthy tirades on Twitter, where he literally does go on a mad one and criticise practically everyone, from the Grammys supposed racism to his ex Amber Rose. Or that time he asked Mark Zuckerberg to "invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas ...after realizing he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time."  Only someone with a huge ego, and no shame, would ever ask something so stupid and egocentric on social media. His little outbursts got so bad that Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner began to think it was damaging their families image - not that it hadn't already been damaged enough. And his constantly comparing himself to God and Jesus is just ridiculous. How can someone be so up themselves? "The Bible had 20, 30, 40, 50 characters in it. You don’t think that I would be one of the characters of today’s modern Bible?" I really have no comment.

Most famously, Kanye received world wide attention when he jumped up on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, interrupted Taylor Swift halfway through her acceptance speech and told everyone that 'Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.' Ouch. Since then, there has been an ongoing spat between the two, until recently when footage emerged of Swift agreeing to West's controversial lyrics about her in his song 'Famous' which at the time of release, she very publicly criticized. I am no fan of Taylor Swift and believe that she did deserve her comeuppance for making Kanye look like a horrible, evil human being. So that makes Kanye pretty cool. He has also fallen out with a long list of celebrities, including Wiz Khalifa, George Bush and Amber Rose.

Lets bring in Kim Kardashian, another self absorbed individual. The pair are perfectly suited for each other, with Kanye being a massive influence on the Kardashian family. Remember how Kim used to dress before she met Kanye? And that whole image transformation she undertook on Kanye's orders? Wherever the couple go, the paparazzi follow such as their extravagant wedding in 2014, which had guests jetting from Paris to Italy.

What I do admire about Kanye is his love for his family, especially his mum Donda who passed away a few years ago. It was Kanye who put his foot down about daughter North appearing in his wife's reality show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians.' It didn't last for long mind, with North making more appearances as the years went by, but it shows Kanye's desire to keep his daughter out of the public eye. (He once attacked a photographer, so beware paparazzi!) Whenever Kanye does appear on Kuwtk himself, he comes across as very sweet, humble and almost shy, believe it or not! There are two sides to every story.

And then there's Kanye West the fashion designer. In this area, I must admit Kanye is pretty cool, and it seems that the fashion industry are in agreement too. When he proclaimed that he would be showing a collection at Paris Fashion Week, it was met with snide remarks and a lot of scoffing from the fashion elite. Even if his first few shows didn't receive very good reviews, he persevered and has one of the most recognized brands in the world now in association with Adidas, Yeezy. The Yeezy collection has been copied everywhere and sought after by everyone, especially the Yeezy Boost trainers, which are so far Kanye's best sellers. And lets no forget the massive show at Madison Square Gardens during New York Fashion Week last year. The actual clothes looked like they belonged to a homeless man sitting on a street corner, but the overall show was pretty epic, specially streamed in cinemas around the world. And he managed to call in Naomi Campbell to walk for him.

Overall, I am a big fan of Kanye. Putting his ego to one side, there is something quite likeable about him and his music is amazing, especially 'Life of Pablo.' He controls his image exceptionally and is a great walking advertisement for the Kanye West brand. He will continue to be annoying, outspoken and self absorbed, but then that's Kanye, King of Cool and a figure who will go down as one of the 21st century's biggest stars. What better way to finish than with some wise words from Yeezy himself, "I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice."

Keeping up with Kylie Jenner

It only occurred to me the other day that I have applauded and criticized, in one way or another, all the Kardashian/Jenner sisters on their sense of style. Kim for her beautiful oversized coats, Kourtney for her off-duty mum chic, Kendall for her statuesque beauty and Khloe for her love of neutrals. But all except one it seems. Fast becoming one of the most followed, talked about and copied star of the day, nobody knew Kylie Jenner would rise from being the youngest of the 'klan' to the most powerful. With her Kylie Lip Kits flying off the shelves, her clothing line with sister Kendall going from strength to strength and her hair extensions the hottest item out there at the moment, it's fair to say that little Kylie is building up quite an empire for herself.

And I haven't even got to her fashion. If Kylie wears a black strappy bikini and posts a pic on Instagram, the next day it has sold out everywhere. If she rocks a pair of Gianvitto Rossi booties and a skin tight Versace dress, TMZ go into meltdown. Or what about an embellished gold and black Balmain mini dress on the red carpet, paired with knee high boots and super glossy hair? No wonder she was recently picked by Olivier Rousteing to star in an exclusive Balmain photo call for Paris Match, along with big sis Kim, Kanye, Jourdan Dunn and mother Kris Jenner. Kylie is indeed a brand all of her own - forget the Kardashians.

Kylie Kristen Jenner was born on August 10th, 1997 (yes, she is only 18!) From a young age, both herself and sister Kendall appeared in their familys reality show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians,' whether they particularly wanted to or not. Thrusting Kylie into the limelight, her teenage years regularly saw her hanging around Rodeo Drive with Jaden Smith, or shopping in YSL with best friends Pia Mia, Hailey Baldwin and Jordyn Woods. Living the life of luxury, her lavish 16th birthday celebrations were played out in all their glory on the reality TV show as well as on social media. In fact, a huge part of Kylie's success is due to her activity on Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter. With a massive 63.6 million followers on Intsa and counting, plus a further 16 million on Twitter, she is able to reach out to mass audiences with a few swipes of her carefully painted fingernails. She has mastered this form of social starlet a lot better than her sisters, even though Kim is still one of the most followed people in the world.

She caused outrage and frenzy with her lip plumping antics back in 2014, sparking the controversial Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge, which saw teens blow up their lips by holding a glass cup to their mouths. Claiming it was for low self esteem reasons, Kylie was silent for a while regarding her new lips before announcing that she had in fact plumped her lips as they were a feature she had always been conscious about. Since then, her overall look has changed rapidly. Skin tight midi dresses with super high heels, ripped jeans and teeny tiny crop tops, braided hair with roll neck jumpers and Yeezy trainers with Adidas sports gear. Kylie wears anything to flatter her curves and show off her rather amazing body - which she claims is all natural by the way.

Whenever she steps out of her Malibu home, it really is dress to impress for this teenager. I love her casual yet super glamorous approach to fashion, and her use of colour. Whether is be a bright orange life of Pablo jumper dress, a bold red mini or a  monochrome leggings and top combo, Kylie always experiments with colour with her hair and make-up always matching perfectly. She really is like a little Bratz doll, but in a good way! On the red carpet, she is no different. Opting for sexy, smouldering style, some of her best looks are the burgundy Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown at the American Music Awards, the white dress with thigh high split at the 2015 BC Universal Cable Entertainment Upfront, the shimmering gold top and skirt combo at the 2016 Golden Globes after party and lets not forget her silver metallic Balmain dress at this years Met Gala.

Kylie keeps on going from strength to strength, with her app the best selling out of all her siblings. Love her or hate hate, we are obsessed with her style and just can't seem to stop keeping up with Kylie.

Style File: Kourtney Kardashian

I have previously done style files on most of the Kardashians. The curvacious Kim Kardashian, the tall and sophisticated Khloe and the model behavior of Kendall Jenner, (Kylie Jenner will be coming soon, promise!) However, all this time I have missed out my favourite Kardashian, the unsung hero if you like: Kourtney. The eldest of all the sisters and the mother to three gorgeous children, Kourtney is not known for her killer style or savvy sense of dress, but she has indeed got a unique and simple way with clothes. She doesn't 'Kourt' attention (excuse the pun) like her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie and she doesn't feel the need to flash the flesh, unlike Kim K. Instead she dresses comfortably, as most mothers of young children do, but this mum usually gets her style just right.

Kourtney Mary Kardashian was born on April 18th 1979. The eldest Kardashian sister aged 36, some might say that Kourtney is also the most intelligent as she remains the only sibling to have gone to university, gaining her bachelors degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish at the University of Arizona. Like her sisters, the reality tv star found fame on the family's show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' along with the business' she runs with her sisters, which include Dash Boutique and a make-up empire. In terms of her love life, we all know the drama surrounding Kourtney and her long term on/off boyfriend Scott Disick. The pair have dated for almost a decade and have three children together, Mason, Penelope and Reign. However, if you are a fan of the show you will understand the turmoils and troubles the couple have gone through over the years surrounding Scott's drinking habits and Kourtney's tight leash she keeps on her boyfriend. They finally decided to call it quits last month, but who knows what the future will hold for this famous couple.

Anyway, that's enough about Kourtney's life and career. Let's talk about her fashion! At only 1.52 metres, Kourtney has a petite frame and wears clothes to flatter her body. Usually opting for her trusty pair of knee high gladiator sandals and a pair of shorts, the TV star likes to show off her tanned legs and keeps things simple, not daring to show off too much flesh. A-line skirts, cute playsuits and maxi dresses are all fav pieces Kourtney likes to throw together, always with a huge pair of black shades to shield her eyes from the flashes of the paparazzi. On an everyday basis, you will see her rocking a pair of ripped denim jeans with a crisp white shirt and some Louboutain heels or maybe a loose fitting dress with plenty of feminine frills and trills.

One of my favourite outfits Kourtney has worn was her super chic monochrome polka dot playsuit, which she paired with a gold Moschino belt and elegant black stiletto heels. It was simple yet effective, earning her street style points on every fashion blog under the sun. Or how about that lovely white smock dress she wore recentley while filming in St Barts with her sisters. While Kim, Khloe and Kendall poured themselves into tight fitting maxi dresses, Kourtney chose a more sophisticated look wearing a white transparent summer dress with gold sandals and flash of red lipstick. You see unlike her sisters, Kourtney dresses to please herself, and not the waiting throng of press ready to srutinize her every move. If she wants to wear a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, then she will. This lady isn't bothered about trends or whether she needs to compete with her younger sisters. I'm sure she does have a sort of stylist who helps her choose outfits and accessorize effortlessly, but with her down to earth attitude Kourt doesn't show it. Before she became a mother, you would often see her tottering around in sky scraper heels, a luxe fur coat and high waist skinny jeans. In fact, before Kourtney had kids, her style was a lot more fun I have to admit, and there were times when she would dress miles better than Kim K. Leopard print jumpsuits, tiny mini dresses, crazy hair with long extensions and bold make-up; that was Kourtney's thing. But ever since she gave birth to her first son Mason in 2009, this lady has elevated her style. Now, it's flats instead of heels and an easy pair of daisy duke shorts with a check jumper instead of thigh high skirts. A lot more classy and grown up.

In St Barts, August 2015
Over the years, Kourtney has also been praised for her pregnancy style. After having three kids, she has made sure she keeps her trim figure by working out tirelessly at the gym, photos of which she usually shares on Instagram. But while pregnant, Kourt opted for ease and elegance. Remember those awful photos of Kim while she was pregnant with North West? She tried to squeeze herself into the tightest of dresses and was compared to Shamu the whale! Well, Kourt was never once criticized as she did pregnancy dressing the right way. I loved the pastel pink maxi dress she wore with round sunglasses when pregnant with Penelope Scotland, as well as the baggy trousers and loose dresses she wore while awaiting the birth of her third child, Reign. With immaculate hair and not very much make-up, she had such a natural glow that she could just about pull of anything and people would salute her.

On the red carpet also, Kourtney shines bright. At the Elton John Aids Foundation party after the Oscars last year, her sisters went for Hollywood glam in deep red dresses, but Kourt stood out in her sexy black and white suit. With her hair pulled over to one side in loose waves and her make-up flawless, she certainly looked every inch the Hollywood siren and worked the red carpet better than her sisters. At other events, she goes for more cute looks with flowing mini dresses and lots of bold colours. Due to her dark hair, the more vibrant shades work really well for Kourtney and compliment her olive skin tone while more neautral tones, like beige and pastels flatter too.

Overall, I wouldn't say she is the best dressed sister - that title goes to Kendall. But Kourtney Kardashian definitely knows how to dress. Over the years we have seen her style change considerably but she always remains chic and sophisticated in whatever she wears. I think I've just about run out of steam praising Kourtney and her sense of style! Take a look through some of my favourite outfits of hers that I've put togther and see for yourself this woman's inevitable sense of fashion...

Style File: Khloe Kardashian

The Kardashian clan are known for their savvy sense of style, their perfectly pampered hair and naturally blessed good looks. Their Instagram photos earn millions of likes every day with girls all over the world eager to steal their style and learn their flawless make up tricks. And of course, we all have our favorite Kardashian sister...

It's fair to say that all the sisters have extremely different styles when it comes to fashion. Kourtney is the most down to earth dresser, donning easy simple pieces like baggy check shirts, skinny jeans and black ankle boots. With 3 children to chase after, Kourt is probably the least stylish Kardashian (sorry Kourtney fans!) but she doesn't seem to care for the competition between her sisters. Kim is by far the most glamorous... and vain. She loves, or should I say adores, her figure and frequently highlights her famous curves in tight midi dresses, Balmain crop tops, cleavage baring low cut shirts and sexy lace up booties. With the media scrutiny she has surrounding her, you can't blame Kim for wanting to look like she's on the red carpet everywhere she goes.

Kendall Jenner has supermodel looks and is in my opinion the most naturally beautiful of the sisters. She could throw on a bin bag and still look good with her endless legs and toned body, but tends to opt for classic pieces. Leather trousers, Celine bag, white shirt and a pair of sunglasses are Kendall's go to wardrobe classics. While youngest sister Kylie is best known for her inevitable style, consisting of revealing crop tops, short skirts, netted tights and layers upon layers of jewelery, which some may say does not befit a girl of just 17. More is definitely more for Miss Kylie Jenner.

But I want to talk about Khloe Kardashian, the unsung hero of the reality TV family. In Keeping up with the Kardashians, Khloe tends to stand as the voice of reason and practical advice amongst her family and has the kindest heart when it comes to emotional issues surrounding the people she loves eg. Scott Disick's alcoholism, Bruce Jenner's transition, her mothers divorce etc. After her own high profile divorce from Lamar Odom, her level of fame has risen dramatically and so has the way she dresses. Khloe has always received unfair and mean criticism regarding her weight, but then that only makes women associate with her more for not having that perfect Beverly Hills figure. With her faithful 'glam squad' and vast closet, Khloe always looks good and even upstages sister Kim on various occasions too!

I love Khloe's style. Her easy day to day look of skin tight blue jeans, white henley top and killer heels is trendy and sophisticated while her love for simple block colours such as black, red, white and grey are refined and elegant. Whether it's a pair of daisy dukes and thigh high leather boots or a black jacket with a shirt tied around her waist, Koko is always on fleek when its comes to her street style. Gym chic - leggings, Nike trainers, grey t-shirt, Balenciaga handbag. Red carpet - tight grey midi skirt, pastel pink crop top, white court shoes and amazing hair. Airport touchdown - huge sunglasses, over sized coat, washed out skinny jeans and knee high boots. Khloe looks great everywhere she goes.

Recently dying her locks a lighter shade of ombre, Khloe experiments with her hairstyles and is not afraid to try something new - even if it means one of her sisters will criticise her effort. Braided, top knot, Croyden face lift, slicked back, blow dried, loose curls or just dead straight, Khloe rocks whatever look she's feeling that day with her glossy make up always on point. When she accompanied Kim on a trip to their native country Armenia earlier this year, it was Khloe who stood out as the more stylish sister. Donning an electric blue a-symmetric jumpsuit one evening she looked amazing while her khaki maxi dress and tan leather jacket the day before was effortlessly fashionable and complimented her amazing figure.

You can't help but love Khloe's style, even if you just take a quick glance at her on a magazine cover. She has had a lot of ups and downs in her much publicized life but always comes out the stronger for it with her positive attitude and can-do way of thinking. Khloe's by far my fav!

Kendall Jenner: Model Behavior

Long have I admired Kendall Jenner, (the one member of the Kardashian family who actually seems to work) for her inevitable sense of style. Yes, she's tall, skinny and pretty with perfect supermodel proportions so clothes do tend to look good on her whatever she wears. However, Kendall opts for a 'less is more' style, unlike her older sisters, with outfits which flatter as well as look amazing on her tiny frame. It's no wonder this girl decided to work in the fashion industry!

When not jet setting across the world to various fashion weeks and photo shoots, Kendall can be found at home in Los Angeles accompanied by her friends while grabbing a coffee or over on the East Coast in New York, indulging in some retail therapy. Whatever the weather, she is dressed for it. Skinny jeans with a thick mohair jumper and chunky boots are a favourite option whereas her faithful Celine bag is usually accessorised with ripped denim trousers or a cute crop top. Never without a large pair of black sunglasses and an immaculate blow dry, Kendall's style is chic and elegant, more European cool than Californian girl.

Balmain, Givenchy and Isabel Marant are Kendall's go-to designers when it comes to shopping, as well as Chanel, Topshop and Balenciaga. Her strappy Balmain sandals in black leather look absolutely amazing and those fab leather leggings are instant staples to any outfit. A monochrome look is also a great option for Kendall - as well as anyone else who wants to grab a slice of her style. Try wearing a white camisole with a boxy black blazer and jeans, with a cool pair of Converses. Or maybe a stripy top (bang on trend for ss15) paired with white shorts and killer heeled boots. Don't forget accessories too. Kendall tends to keep it simple when it comes to adding to her outfit. Maybe a watch, a couple of bracelets or a statement necklace, but never all at the same time. Just keeping it classy and refined is what Kendall gets right every time.

Her red carpet style is on point too. Remember that beautiful pastel pink Topshop ball gown she wore to the 2014 Met Gala? With a lovely fishtail skirt and elegant structure around the waist, it was clear who the belle of the ball was. Even when making an appearance at other red carpet functions such as the Grammys or MTV Music Awards, Kendall dons LBD's or chic two piece ensembles such as a crop top and skinny tailored trousers to make an impact in the fashion stakes. And her hair and make-up is always flawless thanks to her 'glam squad' who keep her looking great at all times.

If anything, older sister Kim should watch out! With Kendall hot on her heels as style queen and younger sibling Kylie always looking great too, the young Jenners certainly know a thing or two about style!

Kim Kardashian: 2014 Style

Her older sister kourtney may have just given birth to a baby boy (Reign Aston Disick if you're interested) but it has been Kim Kardashian who has been the real star of 2014. With her marriage to Kanye West this summer, her trips to Dubai and London, celebrating her daughter North West's first birthday and sealing the exclusive cover of American vogue... Kim has had a record year full of amazing moments and fashion triumphs. Most recently, her attempt to 'break the internet' with her infamous Paper Magazine cover highlighted not only her amazing figure (who else can balance a champagne glass on their arse?) and the power she holds over social media and the press.

Wherever she goes, a strong paparazzi following will be a step behind while her fashion sense has changed her image from trashy reality star to aspiring fashionista. Givenchy, Balmain, Chanel, Celine and Lanvin are some of Kim's most favourite brands, as she is frequently snapped in such luxe designer wear it will make your head spin. There's no denying Kim's struggle to be taken seriously by the fashion world. She staged her wedding in Paris - the fashion capital of the world and attended a number of shows at Paris fashion week accompanied by her her husband and daughter. She had also managed to crawl her way into the ice queen Anna Wintour's heart, bagging a best selling vogue cover shoot. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you google it fast!

I have always been a fan of Kim Kardashians, and admire her climb to the top. She's a little like marmite - you either love her or hate her, and I prefer the former! Yes, she graces the cover of probably every magazine on the news stand but then again... Whatever she endorses she sells! It's no wonder she has been compared to the iconic Marilyn Monroe who was equally the most papped woman in the world at the height of her fame. Kim is growing into an icon.

2014 has been great for Kim, especially in terms of fashion. She has got it right so many times with her sexy but simple pencil skirts and roll neck tops, dramatic party dresses and stylish man coats. Hair and make up is always immaculate thanks to her crack team of stylists while her choice of clothes has had fashion fans fawning over her style in wonder. Kim highlights her curves and doesn't pretend to be someone she's not. In fact, some would say she is one of the most real people out there with her pleasure in sharing everything about her private life on twitter and Instagram and her family's reality show 'keeping up with the Kardashians.' I've hand picked some of my fav Kim fashion moments from the past year so take a look through and enjoy! To finish off, I also want to wish you a very merry Christmas as this will be my last post before the festive fun begins! Have a good one! X

The Fashionable Evolution of Kim Kardashian's Wardrobe....

Since, American reality star Kim Kardashian started dating rapper Kanye West, it's fair to stay her sense of style has changed... rapidly. From tight mini skirts and leopard print tops to creme crop tops and midi, sheer skirts, Ms Kardashian has evolved her designer wardrobe into a much more stylish, sophisticated and overall classy style. Yes, Kim still enjoys parading her cleavage for the throng of paparazzi usually surrounding her, but she favours a much more neutral colour pallet now with designers Givenchy, Celine, Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen being clear favourites. Not to mention her 'new' stiletto fav, the strappy sandal in gold and black detailing - Manolo Bhahnik anyone? Kim revealed that while she was pregnant with daughter North West, she felt her body resembled a whale. A little extreme maybe, but for a woman who is always seen in tight dresses and skyscraper heels, the idea of putting on a great deal of weight is not ideal. Not to mention the tiny 5'1 proportions of the reality star, (well, excluding her chest.) However, Kim has shed most of that baby weight and was recently snapped wearing a tiny bikini while holidaying with her family in Thailand. So, you can be expecting that famous body to be on show once again, making all us women highly envious.

Anyhow, Kim has established herself as a bit of a fashion icon with designer Karl Lagerfeld, Carine Roitfeld and even Anna Wintour heaping praise on her sense of style and impeccable wardrobe decisions. I mean, she's even featured on the front cover of American Vogue with fiancee Kanye and baby North! You don't get much better than that. From trashy to classy; Ms Kardashian as firmly plotted herself on the fashion radar as her looks are copied by women all over the world, magazines, high street stores and other celebrities hoping to follow in her fashionable footsteps.

So what do you think of Kim K's style evolution? Is she trying too hard to be taken seriously as a fashion goddess or has she got her style bang on trend with pieces which look wonderful on her curvy body? We all have our opinions (most of them negative) on the Kardashian clan and their rise to power, but i think its fair to say that Kim's fashion sense has greatly improved and this 'new look' which she seems to favour is working for her, (and her public image!) As long as she's comfortable with the skin she's in, or I should really say the 'clothes' she's in, Kim has my support even if Kanye is the one to blame for this fashion make over!

Before, Kim liked her heavy make up and fake tan...
