RiRi takes to the skies for Harper's Bazaar US

Inspired by Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly across the Atlantic ocean, Harper's Bazaar US today released their cover star editorial featuring the one and only Rihanna. For the special 150th anniversary of the fashion magazine, Queen Rih was chosen to star on the cover and pose as the legendary pilot Earhart for the March issue. Photographed by Mariano Vivanco, the photos see Rihanna posing alongside 4 fellow pilots, on the wings of a jet plane and on the runway in a stunning Ralph Lauren gown. Wearing brands such as Stella McCartney, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Tods and Hermes, this is one editorial that you can't miss. I was so excited when I saw these photos that I had to post them on the blog. If I could afford Stella McCartney, I would snap up that ivory shirt and khaki trousers along with the watch and aviators worn by Rih. She looks amazing in all the photos and represents girl power at its finest.

"There's something so special about a woman who dominates in a man's world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper's Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys." —Rihanna
