Best in show: Victoria Beckham & Alexander Wang

Day 3 of New York fashion week and Victoria Beckham and Alex Wang both gave us sporty, cool shows, mixing the whole boy/girl thing.

Mrs Beckham went for a more hip look this fall with mini pleated skirts, boxy silhouettes and white tennis inspired dresses. As proud husband, David and little Harper watched with Anna Wintour from the front row, Victoria sent models down her catwalk with a sense of swagger and sport chic. It's fair to say that this collection was a very different girl compared to her previous collections aimed at a more classy, mature woman. However this spring she went all young and cool on us... Don't know how her faithful fans will feel on this new look. Nevertheless, a fantastic show.

Alexander Wang again presented a very sporty show. Full of clean white dresses, crisp shirts and pleated skirts, this was a classic Wang show full of atitude. It's fair to say that the white shirt has popped up quite a lot in New York and looks like its sure to be a summer staple. Big bags and chunky  heels ruled the roost as did a sense of grunge. Dresses looked like pinafores with cut out detailing and denim skirts swayed down the runway like a downtown New Yorker on a summers day. Loved this show and if I could, I would buy everything that Wang presented. Love, love, love!
