First look at Michael Kors spring 2014

I have to admit, Mr Kors is a New York fashion week favourite of mine. Each season he always delivers amazing clothes that if I were mega rich, I would buy all in one go. This season it was no different. As always with Kors the colour palette was a mix of browns, creams and whites - very elegant. Greens were also thrown into the mix with short and jackets in subdued khaki greens. Print also was a major feature; quite unusual for Kors who usually sticks with a minimalist theme as we saw last season. However, these prints were romantic, cute and playful. Tea dresses, bikinis and floor length maxis came in a mix of blue and red tropical flowers and delicate leaves scattered here and there.

And who could forget the bags? Each model clutched their bags to their chest or had them hoisted under their arm. Protective. Brown leather and tan. Clutch bags and box bags. Big and small. Even a male model held a very nice tanned strap bag! Michael Kors is famous for his bags just as much as his clothes and in this collection it was clear to see why. Effortlessly chic and the perfect accessory for the everyday working woman, who wouldn't want a Kors bag?

As for hair and make up.... Natural, bronzed and a little messy. Beautiful. A wonderful show - well done Michael!
